Only within 15 minutes drive from Siena, Villa di Corsano is an ancient villa which was built on the ruins of a medieval tower. Villa descriptionThe 16th century estate features a long cypress-lined avenue and is surrounded by picturesque gardens.
Inside, the 3-storey villa’s original architecture coupled with a caring attention to detail and traditional-style furniture create a truly romantic atmosphere. A grand dining room on the ground floor with a large Tuscan fireplace comfortably seats 25 to 30 guests. Several rooms, including the superbly elegant drawing room, feature exquisitely detailed frescos. A gourmet kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities.
First bedroom description: Upstairs on the first floor , a former ballroom has been converted into a grand double bedroom with frescoed ceiling, tall windows and a Murano chandelier which lends a luxurious feel this room has an en-suite shower room.
Other bedrooms description on the first floor: two double rooms each with shower room one room with twin beds and bathtub/wash basin one room with three single four-poster beds, fireplace and shower room.
Top floor bedroom description: two double and two twin bedrooms, a large bathroom, a shower room and a kitchen/sitting-room.
The OutsideThe gardens have fully furnished areas where one can relax and eat/drink ‘al fresco’. The swimming pool use is exclusive to Villa di Corsano guests with sun beds and several shadowed gazebos. |
