A semi detached house on a hill. The villa is only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. Baan Sa-moot Sa-wan is a 4 bedroom villa, sleeps maximum of 12.
Baan Sa-moot Sa-wan's special feature is the rooftop infinity edge pool with jacuzzi jets at one end and has specatacular views! It is spaciously spread out over four floors and has a service lift between all floors including the rooftop.
The main floor has a spacious open plan living/dining area with spectacular sea views and a dining table for 8. There is a 42" plasma TV, satellite channels, DVD and CD player and sound system. Wireless internet is provided.
The modern European kitchen has an oven, 4-ring stove, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, breakfast bar.
Second Floor There are 4/5 bedrooms and one more living area.
Master bedroom has a king size bed and it's en suite bathroom has an exceptionally large terrazo 2 person bath tub, (from which you have views) shower area, (views also) and wc. The ensuite is decorated to give the romantic mood through the room. The master Bedroom has views of the jungle and ocean.
Second bedroom has a king size bed and is also en suite. This room has the views of the jungle, mountain and a bit over Karon Beach.
Third bedroom has twin beds and en suite. There is a TV in this bedroom, best suited for children. This bedroom also has slight views from the window.
Ground floor Ground floor is self contained (with its own kitchenette) making it ideal for two families to be seperate and private. There is a separate living area on the ground floor, and one more bedroom.
Fourth bedroom has a king size bed. This also has views and bifold doors leading out to a deck
Second Living Area has a pull out queen size sofabed, it also has a TV, DVD player, play station 2 with games. This area can be made into another bedroom. All you need to do is close the sliding doors between the living area and the fourth bedroom. It has bi-fold doors all around leading onto a surrounding deck with koi pond of which you also have ocean and jungle views
There is a small kitchennette, including fridge, kettle, toaster.
They both share separate wc and the beautiful outdoor spa bath area where you can watch the stars or gaze openly at the view.
There is also a washing machine.
The rooftop terrace is fully decked with sunlounges and has an infinity edge pool with Jacuzzi jets. There is a barbeque up on the rooftop. An ideal spot to sit and watch the sunset while sipping your favourite drink. |

Payment terms:
30% of rental amount due upon booking plus £100 breakage deposit regardless of length of stay. The rest is due 6 weeks before arrival, except for peak season the balance is due 12 weeks before arrival.
Cancellation terms:
Cancellations made prior to 60 days - fully refundable.
Cancellations made prior to 30 days - 50% refundable.
Less than a month - we'll try to reschedule and refund negotiable, depending on whether the booked dates can be filled. |

|
Karon beach is a long stretch of powdery white sand just south of Patong. The beach is very long so it never feels overcrowded, (great for walks).
At 4km, Karon is one of Phuket's longest beaches. Karon is not congested with plenty of room to move, it is spread out and the area feels very relaxed. The sand is so fine and powdery that it squeaks when you walk on it.
The southern point has a coral reef (for a bit of snorkeling) that stretches towards Kata and Pu Island. During high season you can enjoy watersports activities such as para sailing or jet skiing. During the low season Karon can be good for surfing, there is a life saving tower set up on the beach where you can hire surfboards and/or body surfing boards.
Karon Beach
Karon Beach has fine white sand and azure blue ocean ideal for morning or sunset strolls. There is also a coffee shop called the (Andaman) which serves starbucks quality cappacinos, lattas and expressos with delicious warm, fresh croissants.
At the north end, in front of the lake, the beach is usually deserted, making it a great spot to go if you want the beach to yourself. You can for a minimal fee hire Sunlounges with umbrellas, that are dotted all along the beach, as well as drink stands and massage pavillions (very reasonably priced!) they also do manicures and pedicures right on the beach as well!!
Sea turtles are occasional nocturnal visitors, laying their eggs in the sand at night time.
Beach Eat
The stalls set up on the beach just north of the circle are worth trying for their reasonably priced curries and other Thai dishes and also for the sheer pleasure of feeling only sand underfoot and an unfettered view of the sea as you dine.
The sun bed vendors sell drinks, snacks and ice cream and wherever there are sun beds there's a restaurant not far away. Some are small Thai restaurants that also feature western food and many are in the bigger hotels that line the road.
Watersports on Karon Beach
Jet-ski and parasailing operators walk up and down the beach looking for customers. With fewer jet-skis than Patong there's more room to operate.
Also popular are the banana boat, waterskiing and wakeboarding.
Windsurfing is very popular on Karon Beach as it has some of the best conditions in Phuket and plenty of space in which to maneuver.
Hobie cats and sea kayaks are also available.
Shopping near Karon
Karon beach has a one stop shopping market, South of the round about, that is both friendly and has great prices. Kata is only 5 minutes by car and Patong 10 mins, both areas great for shopping also.
Both Karon Beach and Kata have much more relaxed shopping compared to Patong, especially if your shopping as a family. Walking around is less arduous and hassled. People seeking a tailor-made suit should be in seventh heaven around here.
People looking for good imitation paintings - from teary Pierrots to Andy Warhol copies won't be disappointed as these items are to be found opposite Marina Phuket Resort.
Patong There is a huge shopping centre called Jungceylon.
There are two main stores in this complex.
One is Robinson - a gleaming well-lit upper end department store,
And Carrefour - a French-based supermarket. (Ideal for those rooftop barbecue supplies!) The almost 200 other stores in this new shopping heaven sell brand name clothes, spectacles, sunglasses, colognes and perfumes, shoes, DVD-CD-VCD's, computer games, electrical goods, pewter, gold and silver, sportswear and goods amongst myriad other items. It also has a great cinema showing all the latest movies.
Dining in Karon
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
If you follow the road south from Karon Circle it won't be long before you spy the newest and hippest part of the area. A recently built boutique complex has arrived, bringing with it several upscale restaurants and cafés which offer contemporary cuisine and stylish atmosphere.
Vitaporn offers first-class Thai cuisine and excellent service.
Wildfire has a festive menu and an upbeat atmosphere while Talay has very good value seafood in a simple yet stylish setting. For a sundowner and snacks try out Mong Talay, also called the sunset bar for its perfect ocean view.
Karon Beach Nightlife
If you want to strike a balance between rowdy and relaxed, Karon is a good bet.
Luang Poh Chuan Road is Karon's version of Bangla Road in Patong, with a bar soi at either end, similar to places like Patong's Soi Gonzo or Soi Crocodile, but on a smaller scale.
At the western end (closer to the beach) is an L-shaped soi with Black Cat at the angle. Other bars in the area include Nan's, Hot Shot and Winner. There's also a side street with a few shops and restaurants here. Almost all of these bars have pool tables. (Bars and restaurants abound!) |
